From Dodge

Hello to all who are reading this. Sorry that it has taken so long for me to write on the blog. I have had a hard time finding it. Anyway, I have had a good time so far in Thailand. The people here are really fun.

The trip to Thailand was really long but worth the wait. There were three flights, the first one was 14 hours long from Seattle to Taipei. The second flight was 3.5 hours long from Taipei to Bangkok. The final flight was 1 hour from Bangkok to Chiangrai. The first two flights were with EVA AIR. The planes are nice and everyone gets their own in-flight interactive TV.

As I expected, it is very hot and very humid here. Thankfully, I haven't got any sunburns yet and I hope that I won't get any until the end of the trip.

The food here is great. I especially like the fruit. It is a lot sweeter than I'm used to. I am not as much as a fan of the spicy food but it still tastes good.

The wedding was interesting and was different than what I expected. I thought that the wedding would be a really big deal and the guests would be interested in what was going on, but I couldn't even hear what was going on because everyone around me was talking. I suppose that I should stop trying to guess facts about the culture. Now that IO write about it, that fact seems really obvious.

I've made friends with many of the girls at Eden House. They know a lot of games and are willing to share the games with me. I have a hard time playing as I just learned how to play a lot of them.

Every day we have worship, games, and someone teaches about being a missionary. Today, March 30, is my turn. That is later in the day though. I pray that I will be able to say the right things and that what I say is meaningful to the girls at Eden House.
